One Story, One Poem, Two Goals

Posted by: Yuichi

Transgressive fiction interests me to no end. That's for sure. So many of my stories so far have focused mostly on a raw, crude bloodlust. Every story thusfar has been about murderers except for The Case for the Volkswagen Beetle, which still has it's fair share of violence. To be honest, though, I don't much like it. Yes, I love stories about twisted murderers and their decayed hearts and minds, but I also like surrealism and stories that find their characters haunted rather than dead and mutilated. My favorite movies have all been like that: Eraserhead, Jacob's Ladder, The Ring...

So I'm hoping to change my style of writing a bit so that it's in harmony with these preferences of mine. I want to focus more on the ineffable, psychic, surreal aspects of fiction in my writing. At the same time, I never want to stop examining the broken, sadomasochistic parts of the human mind. I cherish that element of humanity that was so active in infamous psychopaths like Ed Gein and Jeffery Dahmer. I think I'm most proud of The Third Stage, because it's probably the most twisted of my stories. But I want to do something a bit different. I hope that I have made the first step away from raw, brutal violence by writing Death to America. I also hope that with this story, I have managed to make a statement without being preachy. Death to America is the second of my stories to be featured on MicroHorror. In addition, I've posted my latest poem, The Future Tree.

Also, I encourage everybody reading this to check out Deadwing and give them your full support. I would positively LOVE to see this film made.

I'm Back

Sorry for any confusion or controversy Jose Nakamura may have caused while I was away. He's the original owner of this body. Apparently he doesn't much like what I've done with it because while I was away he dyed my hair black. However, you'll be happy to know that I dyed it pink again as soon as I returned. Really, I thought Jose had given up on trying to regain control of his body long ago, but apparently not.

I was gone because I had to attend a conference back in the Porn and Deli district of Hell (which, coincidentally, is where I was born). While I was gone, I had time to do some writing, so with today's update I bring you two (YES! TWO!) new stories, Dinnertime Conversation (which can also be found at MicroHorror) and The Third Stage. Also, I bring you two poems, Piss Girl and I Don't Want To Write This Poem, both of which have been posted for a while now but were never announced.

Born Again

For too long I have lived in sin and vice. Over the years I've done countless things I am no longer proud of. I've used profanity. I've masturbated as much as five times in a single day. I've harbored and supported pagans and devil-worshippers and homosexuals. I've written stories of evil and perversion. I've cursed at the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for God's sake! Well no more. Last night, God came to me in a dream. The images, and the feelings I felt, they were so strong that I now know that I must atone. A feeling like that must be real. Therefor, I shall be born again. I will henceforth devote myself, as an artist and as a human being, to our Lord. I will leave up all my work as Yuichi Mendez, as a constant reminder of the sins of my past. However, my new name shall be Jose Nakamura, and all further material I post will be good, family-oriented Christian fiction. The demon Yuichi Mendez is dead. Time of death: 12:01 AM, April 1st, 2007.

Big as Fuck News — The Hot Pocket Bible Canceled

In regard to Valentine's Day, I hope you all enjoy this holiday as much as I do. Really, I hope you enjoy this holiday alot more than I do, because I actually don't much care for it. Mostly because I spend Valentine's Day alone every year. But still, I see that it's an important day in the lives of many, and in honor of it I bring you a new story: "The Case for the Volkswagen Beetle (A Love Story)". Also, I bring you the world premiere of my first publicly released Sims 2 Music Video (SMV), "The Tale of Yuichi and Amy, Part I", which you can find in the newly re-opened The Sims 2 section. I've done some major site reconstruction, such as removing the Bootleg Antichrist section (the Bootleg Antichrist project has been discontinued) and some minor tweaks, like changing "WM2K7" in the title bar to "WM2K8". Perhaps the biggest change, however, is the discontinuation of the Hot Pocket Bible and the issuing of an official statement of apology for what I see as one of the biggest mistakes I made with this site. You can check that out in the Hot Pocket Bible section.

Fads & Clichés that need to FUCKING DIE!

Certain things people do get really, really annoying after awhile. And yet, people continue to do them. Sometimes, many people do something for a long period of time. This classifies it as a fad. Some fads aren't too bad. Some, at this point, really need to FUCKING DIE! See the "Other" section for details.

MySpace and Happy Ranting

MySpace has never been my favorite place. Too many stupid people saying stupid things about stupid blog entries. However, I've got to admit that there are a few intelligent people on MySpace, and that to me translates to free advertisement. Also, it's very good for networking. That's why recently I created an official Satanic Hot Pocket MySpace Profile. The URL is http://www.myspace.com/satanichotpocket. All those who enjoy our work and have a MySpace are encouraged to add us and preferably put us on their Top X (4,8,16, whatever the noodle you have.)

Also, today I have added an essay and a poem to the Literature section. Both were written by Happy. The not-so-aptly-named, highly emotional "Religion (and Other Dying Fads)" talks about the absurdity of religious belief while the long, thoughtful poem "Compare & Contrast" focuses more on hypocrisy and dissent.

Big as Fuck News — The Hot Pocket Bible

In regard to 9/11, I haven't much to say. It saddens me that such atrocities take place, but that is just one example of the horrible things that can be done in the name of religion, especially of the organized variety. At the same time, it happened five years ago, and relative to the population of the US the death count wasn't all that high. I don't mean to say that it wasn't a horrible event in the history of this miserable planet, but I think it's best not to dwell on things like that.

Rather, let us walk toward the future, where hope resides. Today, I am proud to announce the launch of The Hot Pocket Bible (yes, this was our "big project", a somewhat definitive representation of what exactly WM is and what we stand for. Being that we are constantly evolving as human beings, so shall our "bible", which will be a living document updated as new content is written that we deem worthy of inclusion in our ultimate guide to what we represent. New chapters will be written very soon, but for now there is only a very short story/introduction reminiscent of the Christian creation story and a basic "What is WM?" chapter that sums up our ideas in half a nutshell. In the coming months (maybe weeks) expect to see chapters being written on such topics as sex, organized religion and art/entertainment.

Please note that by launching The Hot Pocket Bible, we are not attempting to establish ourselves as a religon. Quite the contrary, we hope to loosen the tyrannical grip religion seems to hold on society (among other things) through the things we create. We hope to achieve this by providing you with content that is both entertaining and intellectually stimulating.

Anti-Lent: The Revival

Anti-Lent, the latest and greatest unholiday, starts October 15th, ironically a Sunday. Information on the celebration has been posted in the new and invisibly improved "Other" section, which now has its own subdirectory. Speaking of sections and subdirectory, you may notice the absence of "Webcomics" and "SMVs" from the menu. They will be placed in the upcoming "The Sims 2" section, which will also feature my own custom content for the game. If you don't play The Sims 2, I suggest you check it out. It can be a Hell of a lot of fun.

The Dynamic Duo

Though it doesn't seem like many people are coming here to begin with, and those who have been apparently aren't interested in the forums, I feel I should mention that we just got new forums. These new forums are still running on the phpBB engine, but they're hosted here rather than free-forums.org. You are encouraged to sign up.

Additionally, most of the pages on this site (all except for the Bootleg Antichrist site, which I will probably convert in the future when I need to) have been converted from HTML to PHP. You won't notice any change right away, but using PHP makes things alot easier for me, and in the future will allow me to provide dynamic, interactive content and more easily implement major updates.

A story I wrote not long ago can now be found in the Literature section, as can my promised article about ass.png and a new poem I wrote. Also, the previously mentioned "big things" are now in the early production stages. Still no bio from Happy though. Also, thanks to the four of you who actually voted, we're thinking about changing the layout of the site, though not nessicarily just like the Bootleg Antichrist site.

Somebody has messed with this site, clearly. Expect an essay on the subject soon. I've got too much to say to capsulate it into a news item.

Sing Along

I fancy myself a singer. This new batch of updates may prove me wrong as Satanicast #2 is finally done. Also up tonight is a duet between myself and a man who, for now, is to be known only as "fucking leopard". It doesn't really fit in with any of the sections of the site, so for now I'm just linking to it here, but the site design is being reconsidered. Big things are in the works (in the planning stages) and hopefully the next update will not leave you as disappointed as this one left me.

Cults are a strange thing in relation to WM's philosophy. So Yuichi decided to write an essay dealing with the subject. It's called Cults? The Eternal WM Paradox. Enjoy

Satanic Hot Pocket Forums have been created, though I'm not completely satisfied with the free-forums.org system. I still hope to eventually get a more professional message board system, but right now I can't afford that ? or anything else. As you may have noticed, no new Satanicast yesterday. We did say semi-regular, and we made no promises. There wouldn't have been anything to talk about anyway. Link to Us and Contact Us pages, however, have been added. Also, Happy has posted an essay... And you can now discuss Satanicast#1 and Happy's article in our forums!

Actual Grand Opening

So this is REALLY the grand opening, the day this site goes online. I encourage any of my early visitors to check out the Bootleg Antichrist site, which is mostly incomplete but has some short songs for you to download, and maybe go to the Literature section and read some of my poetry, if you're in a depressed mood. Before any of that, though, please read the About Us page to get some idea of what this site is all about. There may be more to it than meets the eye.

Welcome to Satanic Hot Pocket, the home of WM, and the home of the art of Yuichi Mendez and Happy the Tormented Clown, with guests submitting work from time to time as well. We hope you'll enjoy your stay and we hope our work will make you think without going clinically insane, that at this very early stage, what little is posted probably wont. Try Satanicast, or take a pair of scissors and cut yourself to the music of Bootleg Antichrist and the Voices in his Head.*

So, apparently this "black and blue" thing is popular in the Starbucks district of Hell (damn those mooses and their lattés). I figured I'd give it a shot.

* We don't actually want you to cut yourself. It was a joke. Jesus Christ, you Emo bastard, maybe Satan will trade you a sense of humor for your iPod Nano.
